We added two stories on top of the garage of a 1980’s shore house, nearly doubling it’s original size. The second floor includes a new master suite and hallway, connecting the new wing to the original house. The stairs and elevator provide access to the pool and the third floor, which offers 270-degree views of the ocean, bay, and the Atlantic City skyline. The massing of the new wing steps in and out, to follow the spaces within, while rooflines and the exterior materials of the house are extended from the original to create an overall unity of form.
