BLUE BELL ADDITION
A small addition serves as the Dining Room for a new kitchen. The addition fills the inside corner and serves as the connector between the main house and a larger, earlier addition, which has a cathedral ceiling. We opened 16 feet of the back wall of the original house with a flushed-framed beam. The folded ceiling keeps the space flowing between the two additions and the house, without any headers below the ceiling. The roof of the previous addition had to be hung from two beams, which were cantilevered from the new addition.
